I totally forgot. Last night this blog was ‘flagged’ and i had to reply to wordpress, which i did. Here is the wordpress automatic reply:
if you do not see it through the picture here it is:
Hi,
Thanks, the blog is back. The user has been advised to remove it from YouTube if they do not want to have it used elsewhere.Best,
Anthony

So, it is alright to believe that we can link any videos to any blog.
it is interesting to point out from this reply of wordpress is that the laws does not seem to protect much the original uploaders or makers of the video.it is better to put a link outside the youtube video to point back to its original source(alhough in youtube you can get the link by clicking on the small up arrow at the bottom right of the player). The original author or director of a video must also make some effort by inserting watermark, logo or links inside their video. With web 2.0 sharing can be done very easily but certainly it has flaws also.

I think you are right. You are using the video from YouTube’s provided functionality to embed his video to your blog. By uploading his video on YouTube he is granting every YouTube user the right to do so.
That is my interpretation of below:
Quoting from http://www.youtube.com/t/terms
6 C. For clarity, you retain all of your ownership rights in your User Submissions. However, by submitting User Submissions to YouTube, you hereby grant YouTube a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the User Submissions in connection with the YouTube Website and YouTube’s (and its successors’ and affiliates’) business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the YouTube Website (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels. You also hereby grant each user of the YouTube Website a non-exclusive license to access your User Submissions through the Website, and to use, reproduce, distribute, display and perform such User Submissions as permitted through the functionality of the Website and under these Terms of Service. The above licenses granted by you in User Videos terminate within a commercially reasonable time after you remove or delete your User Videos from the YouTube Service. You understand and agree, however, that YouTube may retain, but not display, distribute, or perform, server copies of User Submissions that have been removed or deleted. The above licenses granted by you in User Comments are perpetual and irrevocable.

Well from wat Kailash posted and also from wat i’ve seen on YouTube website, any video copied from there and posted to a blog or another website is not considered as illegal, and YouTube grants anyone full access.
So if someone wants to claim ownership and prevent others to use these vids better not upload them at all
